Portrait of a woman with dark hair, smiling, wearing a black blazer over a red top, against a white background.

My name is Anoosh and I am a Clinical Psychologist at Avondale College.

I have a warm, empathetic and empowering approach to my therapy, and strive to create a safe place for people to share authentically.

In my practice I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. I take a trauma–informed approach to assessment and therapy as I have specialised in treating trauma presentations.

I am originally Indian, however I was born in the United Arab Emirates and moved to Tāmaki Makaurau when I was six years old. Outside of work I enjoy playing the piano, singing and partaking in community musical theatre. I also love travelling to new places and cooking for friends and family.
